Overview
This project explores how AI tools can be used to improve resumes while maintaining authenticity and relevance. We tested tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot to understand how they affect clarity, structure, and technical wording. We also explored formatting through LaTeX [to see how it also contributes/performs].
The goal of this website is to provide a clear, practical resource for students who want to use AI effectively when building their resumes.
Why This Matters
AI tools are becoming increasingly common in resume writing, as they can quickly improve wording, structure, and formatting. However, our research showed that relying too heavily on AI can lead to over-optimization, where resumes sound strong but may not accurately reflect real experience.
Through both experimentation and industry insights, we found that factors such as authenticity, fit, and genuine interest in the role are often more important than highly polished wording.
